Advocacy

AGC Iowa’s advocacy efforts include federal, state, and local governments.  We advocate for the fundamental role construction plays in the economy and the policy issues that must be addressed to ensure the State of Iowa has an extensive and safe highway and underground infrastructure.  We promote and protect the highway construction industry’s interests by creating a well-rounded approach and strategic relationships with government and policy leaders.

During the Iowa Legislative Session, AGC staff updates members through the Blueprint, a summary of relevant legislative action taken during the week.  AGC members can find the current and previous editions on the members only page of this website.

AGC Iowa also distributes funds to candidates and incumbents through the AGC Iowa Political Action Committee (PAC).
